Smathers Family Reunion Photo

“The second item I brought is a family photograph of the Smathers. I'm not sure how many generations it goes back. Some folks have looked at the pictures and suspected maybe the 1800s judging by the style of the ladies' hair and the clothing that they're wearing. It's been passed down through my family and the property [in the photo] was on Dutch Cove Road. It's just a gathering of Smathers for—looks like a family reunion, so there's a lot of older people and a lot of children in it. Don't know who any of them are, no one's been able to identify exactly who the people are.”
